Learning Support

At Salvado Catholic College we celebrate the diversity and achievements of all our students, and encourage them to discover their abilities and reach their full potential. Teaching and learning at the College caters to students’ individual strengths, abilities and needs, and provides equitable educational opportunities for every child. Teachers utilise a range of assessment tasks to gather data about students’ skills, knowledge and understandings. Through an ongoing plan-assess-review cycle, teachers continually monitor student achievement and progress, and utilise the data gathered to cater for students’ individual needs.

In consultation with the College’s Learning Diversity Coordinators and EAL/D (English as an Additional Language or Dialect) Coordinator, together with the Leadership Team, students with disability may be supported through Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that are developed collaboratively between parents/carers, teachers, and students.
