Music

Students at Salvado Catholic College have access to a comprehensive range of musical experiences to enhance their learning journey.

Students in Kindergarten to Year 6 attend Specialist Music lessons during which they learn about all the essential elements of Music. These lessons include music appreciation, music and movement, creativity, ukulele instruction, percussion instruments and singing/vocal instruction.

Students in Year 3 to Year 6 are invited to be involved with the College Choir. The Choir perform at a number of events, both on campus and off, throughout the year and have had great success over the years performing in the Catholic Performing Arts Festival.

African Drumming is also taught in both class Music lessons and a specialist group setting. The African Drumming group involves students from Year 3 to Year 6. These students rehearse in their won time and have performed at special offsite events including Carnevale and the Spirit of the Arts Festival.

The College also offers instrumental music lessons provided Keyed Up Music. The lessons occur both during and after school and cater for individual and small group lessons in keyboard and drums as well as string instruments.
